Growing up in San Diego, Horchata has always been a staple summertime drink of mine. I mean, it’s just so…delicious. In honor of Cinco de Mayo, my amazing, crafty mixologist friend Cheryl (I envy her skills) from Cheryl Elizabeth Craft has made a yummy Matcha Horchata that both kids and adults will love.
-¼ teaspoon of Matcha Powder- by Jade Leaf Matcha Green Tea Powder from Amazon
-½ cup of rice milk
-½ cup of almond milk
-¼ teaspoon of cinnamon
-¼ teaspoon of vanilla
-1 tablespoon of sugar
-pinch of salt
In a blender, mix the rice milk, almond milk, sugar, matcha, cinnamon, vanilla and salt until smooth.
Taste and add more sugar if necessary. Serve in glasses over ice with a sprinkling of cinnamon or serve with cinnamon stick.
