I’m going to share something today that will save you a ton of money AND satisfy your fall pumpkin everything cravings! This homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte is the perfect recipe for a cool fall morning (or afternoon, or evening!). I think you’ll love making this drink as much as you love drinking it, and I know it will be a hit!
Is there actually pumpkin in a Pumpkin Spice Latte?
If you buy a PSL at Starbucks, there is some pumpkin puree in the drink. However, the name refers to the mix of spices that are used to flavor the drink rather than actual pumpkin. In fact, Starbucks only started putting actual pumpkin in the drink a few years ago (I had to Google that!).
This drink doesn’t have any actual pumpkin it it. It does have plenty of the fall-forward spices you’ve come to recognize and love as pumpkin spice, though!
If you’d like to add some actual pumpkin to this recipe, you can definitely do so! I’d probably add a couple tablespoons of pumpkin puree when you blend. Be sure to add pumpkin puree, and not pumpkin pie mix as that already contains spices and sugar.
Is it easy to make a PSL at home?
Yep, this recipe is really simple. You’ll have to heat milk, make some coffee, and use a blender. If you can do those three things, you’re golden!
This homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe makes three drinks.
If you need a cute pumpkin spice mug to drink this out of (and who doesn’t??), I found this cute mug on Amazon!
