I talk about scrapbook paper ALL the time, and it’s for good reason – I have a lot of it! Right now, it’s all stacked on a bookshelf. This makes it hard to remember what I have, and even harder to get to the pieces I need to use when they’re at the bottom. So, as I go about looking for scrapbook paper storage ideas for myself, I thought I’d share some of the better ways to store scrapbook paper that I came across during my search.

I like the plastic handled totes to store used paper…almost full sheets, one tote… half sheets another and small scraps in another. Full uncut sheets in a file cabinet by color .Having it organized helps to know what you need and what shades you have in a glance!

My daughter had a genius idea! Use a photo album with the little pockets for photos to organize all those little scraps into their own pocket. Then you can flip through when you just want something small and can see everything at a glance.

YES, I love that idea – so smart!

On small scraps, I use a fun paper punch,(butterflies, leaves, the alphabet, hearts, balls, bears, cats, luggage tags…whatever) and I punch them out right away so the scrap doesn’t lay around or get waisted. I store them in a 30 draw “Small Parts” Organizer, that I purchased in the tools section at the local hardware store. I then tape the design on the front of the draw. We use them all the time to decorate photo pages, cards, lunch bags….endless possibilities. Fun embellishment that kids love to use. If I get an abundance of seasonal punch outs we donate them to our Sunday School and or elementary art class. Teachers love them. An Organizer full of these would make a GREAT teachers gift at Christmas. Best part….no waist and vertically free if you use the unused Organizer from your husbands garage🤫
